At Meximold, Caos Tecnología CNC (booth 508A) plans to launch the PDSD – Pressing Die Status Detection system, a product by Kuen Lin. This system allows constant monitoring of the die’s lifespan.

The PDSD system is a response to common issues in the industry, such as unexpected equipment failures and the subsequent increase in defective products. It also addresses the problem of damage to production dies, which can represent significant costs for companies.

Kuen Lin's PDSD system enables 24/7 monitoring of die performance, eliminating the possibility of unscheduled and urgent downtime.

This system allows for the digitalized management of die lifespan through the recording of production parameters. It enhances the inspection process of defective products and facilitates predictive maintenance, thereby extending the lifespan of both the equipment and the die.

The PDSD utilizes intelligent monitoring with vibration correlation algorithms. This makes it possible to learn and analyze the die compression curves in each stamping cycle, understand data on the gradual wear of the die, and promptly detect any anomalies.

As a result, alerts are issued immediately, which facilitates maintenance scheduling and prevents emergency stops.

For Meximold 2023, Caos Tecnología CNC aims to introduce this technology to the Mexican market. They see it as an opportunity to establish connections and engage with companies interested in continuous improvement within the mold, die, and tooling industry in Mexico.
